Next All-New Episode of THE MICK Airs

in its Regular Time Period this Tuesday, January 10, on FOX

An all-new episode of this season’s No. 1 new comedy THE MICK, starring Kaitlin Olson (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”), will air on a special night and time Sunday, Jan. 15 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT), following THE SIMPSONS’ first-ever one-hour episode (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. After THE MICK, an all-new episode of FAMILY GUY airs (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT), featuring New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski as a guest voice.

In the all-new episode of THE MICK, “The Balloon,” Mickey (Olson) learns that the family has forgotten Ben’s (Jack Stanton) seventh birthday, and forces them to put their selfish tendencies aside for one day and throw him the celebration he deserves, which proves way harder than planned.

In Live +3 ratings, the special premiere of THE MICK on Sunday, Jan. 1, scored a 3.5/12 among Adults 18-49, ranking it as this season’s highest-rated new comedy debut on ANY network and the highest-rated comedy debut in more than 15 months on any network. In three-day Total Multi-Platform Audience, THE MICK’s audience grew +27% to 10.9 million viewers, which was FOX’s largest new series debut in the three-day window in nearly two years. THE MICK is FOX’s highest-rated new series premiere since EMPIRE and the network’s highest-rated live action comedy premiere in more than five years (since NEW GIRL). In addition, THE MICK dominated Sunday night as the top entertainment program and was the No. 1 scripted entertainment program of the Week.

In the first-ever one-hour episode of THE SIMPSONS, featuring Emmy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson (EMPIRE), Snoop Dogg, Common and RZA as guest voices, Mr. Burns (Harry Shearer) tries to relive his glory days, and crosses paths with a mysterious music mogul. The all-new  special one-hour episode of THE SIMPSONS, “The Great Phatsby,” airs Sunday, Jan. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

In the all-new “Gronkowsbees” episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, Jan. 15 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT), Rob Gronkowski, of the New England Patriots, moves into the house behind the Griffins, and the guys enjoy partying with him until his antics become overwhelming.

THE MICK is a comedy about an unapologetic degenerate (Kaitlin Olson, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) who suddenly finds herself stuck raising her spoiled niece (Sofia Black D’Elia, “The Night Of”) and nephews (Thomas Barbusca, “Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life”; newcomer Jack Stanton) in affluent Greenwich, CT. It’s pretty much everything she never wanted. Regardless, she’s determined to rise to the occasion and transform these little monsters into honest, hard-working, decent members of society – something she knows absolutely nothing about. The series also stars Carla Jimenez (“Last Man Standing”) and newcomer Scott MacArthur.

In the next all-new episode of THE MICK, “The Buffer,” airing in its regular time period Tuesday, Jan. 10 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Mickey attempts to teach Sabrina (Sofia Black-D’Elia) a lesson by tricking her. Meanwhile, Chip (Thomas Barbusca) turns to Jimmy (Scott MacArthur) for advice.

THE MICK is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created/written by John Chernin (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Dave Chernin (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”). The Chernin brothers, Nicholas Frenkel (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Oly Obst (“Barely Famous”), along with Randall Einhorn (“Nurse Jackie,” “The Office”), who directed the pilot episode, are executive producers. Kaitlin Olson is a co-executive producer on the series.  “Like” THE MICK on Facebook at Follow the series on Twitter @TheMickFOX and join the discussion at #TheMick.
