THE DRESS UP GANG MOVIE (wt), Written by Cory Loykasek, Robb Boardman and Donny Divanian, and Directed by Boardman,

to be Produced by Tideline Entertainment and Mountain Top Pictures

The acclaimed comedy troupe The Dress Up Gang is in production on its first feature film, THE DRESS UP GANG MOVIE (wt). Produced by Tideline Entertainment and Mountain Top Pictures, the film is being shot in Los Angeles.

Written by The Dress Up Gang’s Cory Loykasek, Robb Boardman and Donny Divanian, and directed by Boardman, the film stars Frankie Quinones (“What We Do in the Shadows,” “This Fool”), Loykasek (“Physical,” “Dope State”), Divinian (“Physical,” “Corporate”) and Kirk Fox (“Reservation Dogs,” “Jury Duty”).

From beloved comedy troupe, The Dress Up Gang, comes a comedy adventure about our connection to houseplants, nature, and each other. Cory spends his days isolated and working from home until he becomes entangled with a mysterious figure known only as “the Plantman," a vigilante who breaks into people’s homes to rescue plants that aren’t being watered. Cory is suddenly thrust outdoors, into an underground world of plant-lovers, secret greenhouses, and rogue hardware store employees who will stop at nothing to save the dying plants of the city. When a mob of negligent plant owners form to hunt down Plantman, Cory's new allegiances are tested and he's forced to answer a big question: how far would you go to save a dying plant?

Quinones added, "Creating stories with The Dress Up Gang is something I’ve been passionate about since we started working together well over a decade ago. We’re so excited to bring this film to a larger audience, with partners who believe in our vision and aesthetic. In collaboration with Tideline and Mountain Top Pictures, we bring the audience into a world of plants, helping people reconnect with what’s important through The Dress Up Gang's lens."

“It’s an absolute delight to partner with The Dress Up Gang team on their very first movie,” said Hannah Pillemer, Executive Vice President and Head of Creative & Production of Tideline parent, MarVista Entertainment. “Frankie, Cory, Robb, Donny and the whole gang are a comedic force who are shaping the boundaries of contemporary comedy, which falls right in line with the kind of imaginative entertainment Tideline produces.”

Mark Ankner (PONYBOI), Ben Wagner (“Dead Within”), Adam Karm (“Dead Within”) and Jay Patumanoan (“The Dress Up Gang”) are producers on THE DRESS UP GANG MOVIE, with Fernando Szew, Tony Vassiliadis, Pillemer, Ani Kevork and Kevin Mann executive producing.

Launched by FOX Entertainment and MarVista Entertainment earlier this year, Tideline’s projects range from features and independent films to limited series, made-for-platform content and other cross-genre formats. THE DRESS UP GANG MOVIE marks the production label’s expanding slate of films, joining, among others, the comedy FIRST TIME FEMALE DIRECTOR (produced with Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions and streaming on Roku), written and directed by and starring Chelsea Peretti; the drama PONYBOI, which was written by and stars River Gallo, and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January; and the upcoming thriller BEACON, starring Academy Award-nominee Demián Bechir and Julia Goldani Telles.  BEACON will make its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival in June.

Founded in 2008, The Dress Up Gang consists of Robb Boardman, DeMorge Brown, Kevin Camia, Donny Divanian, Christian Duguay, Kirk Fox, Cory Loykasek, Frankie Quinones and Brent Weinbach.
