DJ Nurre was named Executive Vice President, Unscripted Original Series, Endemol Shine North America, in March 2018.

Nurre oversees all unscripted current programming, as well as all pilots and presentations for the Los Angeles-based production company. He leads all current efforts on such Endemol Shine series as MASTERCHEF, MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, LEGO MASTERS, “The Biggest Loser,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and the upcoming “Wipeout.”

Nurre joined Endemol Shine North America from 3 Ball Entertainment, where he formerly served as Executive Vice President, Programming and Development.

There, he headed up all development for the production company, focusing on the creation of IP for broadcast, cable, digital and OTT, and managing 3 Ball’s casting and development teams, while also managing its current programming efforts.

A seasoned showrunner, Nurre spent 13 years at 3 Ball, championing some of the studio’s highest-rated and longest-running series, including “Bar Rescue,” “Catch a Contractor,” “Flying Wild Alaska,” “LA Hair” and “Adventure Capitalists.”

Nurre’s other credits include hits such as “Beauty and The Geek” and “For Love or Money.”

He first joined 3 Ball as an editor in 2004 and previously served as Senior Vice President, Development and Current for the studio.
