David Spade became a household name during his tenure on Saturday Night Live. For his memorable role as Dennis Finch on Just Shoot Me, Spade received nominations for a 1999 Emmy, Golden Globe, and American Comedy Award. He continues to be a box office draw, touring his stand-up shows nationwide. His most recent stand-up special, Nothing Personal, debuted in 2022 and he hosted his own late-night series Lights Out with David Spade that same year.

 

Currently, Spade can be heard co-hosting the popular Saturday Night Live podcast Fly on the Wall, alongside Dana Carvey, which was just nominated for Podcast Of The Year at the 2023 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards.

 

Spade’s vast film career includes a long list of iconic comedies, including Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2, Joe Dirt, Tommy Boy, Benchwarmers, Black Sheep, The Wrong Missy, Father of the Year, The Do-Over and Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. Spade also voices “Griffin” in the animated feature, Hotel Transylvania, alongside Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Kevin James, and Andy Samberg, among others.  He continued to reprise his role in Hotel Transylvania 2, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, and Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania.

 

In 2018, Spade released A Polaroid Guy in a Snapchat World exclusively on Audible. The audio book was a New York Times best-seller and was well received by critics and fans. In 2015, Spade released his memoir, Almost Interesting, which also became a New York Times Bestseller.   

   

On the small screen, Spade starred in the sitcom Rules of Engagement for seven seasons and appeared in The Showbiz Show from 2005-2007. Spade created, executive produced, hosted and wrote the show along with pal and former SNL writer Hugh Fink. He also guest-starred on the critically acclaimed The Larry Sanders Show and appeared in 13thAnnual Young Comedians Special. Spade has also had several well-received standup comedy specials, including David Spade: My Fake Problems.
