Barry Adelman serves as EVP of Television for Dick Clark Productions, where he executive-produces shows for the largest global proprietor of live televised entertainment programs, including “Academy of Country Music Awards,” “American Music Awards,” “Billboard Music Awards,” “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” and the “Golden Globe Awards.”
Mr. Adelman has earned 20 Emmy nominations for producing and writing. He has written for Presidents Clinton, Bush and Reagan, including Reagan’s “New Year’s Address to the Nation.” He also holds the unique honor of having written the eulogy at Elvis Presley’s funeral.
In addition to SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, Adelman has been responsible for producing “Golden Globes 75th Anniversary Special”; “An Evening At The Academy Awards – Pre-show & Post-show”; “Primetime Emmy Awards”; “Daytime Emmy Awards”; “MTV Music Video Awards”; “NBA Awards”; “Garth Brooks Christmas Special”; “Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction”; “American Bandstand Anniversary Specials”; and the “World Cup Final Draw Special.”
