Matt Groening’s creation, THE SIMPSONS, is the longest-running scripted show in TV history. It remains one of the most innovative franchises, recognizable throughout the world. It has spawned a hit feature film and a revolutionary virtual coaster ride at Universal Studios.
He also created the Emmy Award-winning series “Futurama.” In 1980, Groening began his “Life in Hell” weekly comic strip series. In 1993, he formed Bongo Comics Group and remains publisher.
Among his many honors are multiple Emmy Awards and Annie Awards, a Peabody Award and a Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year. In 2012, he received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Groening has completed work on four seasons of the streaming animated series “Disenchantment,” and “Futurama” will premiere in 2023 with all-new episodes.
